DIY Car Washing | Cost Effective and Easy
Some people find cleaning their car as a task while others see it as something fun and satisfying to do. Never the less whichever group of people you are from, everyone can agree that a clean car is so much better than an unclean one. Keeping your car clean doesn’t only make it look good but also helps keep your car in a good condition.
Having your car cleaned from the comfort of your home and with the right equipment, can give you the benefits of saving costs and quality washes.
Here are the simple steps and techniques to get beautiful and professional results after your DIY car washing at home:
First, dampen the exterior of the vehicle (including the tires) with a layer of car soap foam or detergent to loosen the dirt.
When that is done, remove the layer of soap with a high pressure washer for maximum ease.
To finish, rinse the car with water and leave it to dry. If you would like to have a completely dry and clear surface in particular – using a chamois leather cloth can be used to dry the car.
If you find any marks or scratches while cleaning – it can be touched up using a paint stick or some car polish.
Important instructions for use on high-pressure cleaners:
· When cleaning your car, always use the flat jet and not the rotary nozzle.
· You should keep a minimum distance of 30 cm away from the surface.
· Always clean from bottom to top so you don’t miss any areas and to make optimal use of the soap or detergent's effect.
Now on to cleaning up the car interior:
If the car is nice and clean on the outside, it's time to spruce up the interior
First thing to do is - remove all loose mats and carpets from the car and beat the dirt and dust out of them.
Then remove all coarse dirt from the entire interior which is done best with a multi-purpose vacuum cleaner.
When vacuuming, make sure to get into all the crevices or compartments in the car with different vacuum nozzles.
